Marked for Ruin

Marked for Ruin is a VN set in the fantasy world of Luria. The events of this novel will be an alternate timeline. The reason for that is that it is much easier for me to add different story outcomes without being bound to the canonical state of events.

Marked for Ruin will feature:

-Two distinct female protagonists, with their own personalities, goals, and agendas.
-Romance system (details to come soon)
-Choices that matter, and some that don't. Multiple choices will be present in the game. Some will have more impact than others, while others will have no impact.
-Optional side quests starting with Chapter 1. 
-Different paths and 9 different endings.
-A Codex page with all the characters and information about them. This will update as you progress through the game. Currently, a WIP and may not be present on the first demo release.
-An interactive World Map (WIP)

CHARACTERS

MAIN CHARACTERS

The Empress of the Lekosian Empire, chosen by the people after leading the rebellion against the Usurper. A strong woman and politician, she is never afraid to make the hard choices. She swore to herself that hers would be an era of peace as too much innocent blood had already been shed. While not gifted magically by birth, she has the is a swordswoman and does have a few spells up her sleeve. She has a strong connection with spirits and can summon them at her will.

A former agent under Celia's employment, she found herself as her Chancellor after the rebellion. Little is known about her background, other than the fact that she was not born on the continent, but far in the west. For a long time she lead a life of crime in the lower districts of the Capitol, making a name for herself among Crimelords. For all we know that life is over for her, but that may not be entirely true.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS (so far, list will be updated)

Just like Kayli, Talia is a former agent of the Conclave. As one of the few shapeshifters left on the Continent, her skills were invaluable. Now, after the Civil War and Fall of the Conclave, she was appointed Captain of the Imperial Guard and serves as one of Celia's advisors.

As oldest vampire alive, rumored to be at least five millennia old, Marius' existence in shrouded in mystery as he came to be long after vampires were thought to be extinct. The rumors of an affair between him and the then Head of Conclave and now Empress, started quickly. Neither of them ever commented on it, but their closeness was never truly hidden.

Little is known about him, other than the fact that he is Marius' son from when he was mortal, as he seldom leaves his father's castle. Although not much younger than his father, he is still very much a cocky and reckless young man, as his father would describe him.

Marius' closest advisor, she served him both as a mortal and vampire. She gave up her mortal name many centuries ago and instead kept her title only. Her disdain for mortals is known to many, and few dare be in her proximity alone.
